A new compressor unit has just arrived at IMP PAN and will soon be prepared for integration and testing. ⚙️🧑🔧 It is an important milestone for WP 4, dedicated to the development of a methanol-fueled Brayton cycle system. 🎉 ✅
The newly delivered compressor is a Rotrex EK40C PT66 (non-standard prototype), capable of 120,000 rpm, 20 kW power, pressure ratio of up to 3 bar, and mass flow between 0.06 and 0.12 kg/s. It will become one of the key components of our pilot installation, forming part of the innovative system designed to demonstrate efficient and climate-neutral power generation based on green methanol. 🌿 ♻️ 🔋
In the photos, members of the IMP PAN team 👩🔧👨🔧 discuss the setup and testing procedures of the new equipment, marking another step toward building the integrated Brayton cycle installation.
This step brings us closer to demonstrating a climate-neutral, high-efficiency energy system, supporting the EU’s transition to sustainable and decentralized power generation. 🌍⚡
